Who are we?
Ingo E. Gallmeister GmbH was founded in 1972 by Ingo Gallmeister in Hamburg’s old harbour warehouse district. Our modern warehouses have been located in Hamburg-Billbrook since 1976. Bernd Soltau joined us in 1978 as import manager, became an authorised signatory and in 1998 a co-partner. Since then, he has actively managed the company as managing partner. Patrick Soltau joined the company in 2012 and is contributing to its further development. Together with his father, he will steer the fortunes of the family-run, renowned and financially independent company. In over 50 years, together with dedicated employees, we have developed the company into a high-performance, modern logistics company with worldwide activities.
What are we doing?
As an international freight forwarder, we operate worldwide in the areas of sea, air and land transport, including rail transport to and from China. With over 200 high-performance partners, we are present in all major trading centres and offer our customers a global service with a broad and market-oriented range of services. Our more than 50 years of experience and modern management form the basis for the trust of our customers. As an expanding, international freight forwarding company, we look back with pride on our successful company history and are determined to meet the growing demands of the global markets.
